Giving
It takes a certain kind of wisdom to truly appreciate the joy of giving. Whether material or intangible, giving means making a positive contribution in the life of an individual, or a group, a cause, or even society as a whole. It’s a selfless act that offers an opportunity for betterment and empowerment, so that the ‘taker’ in turn can give to another.

Does the Eastern Star support charities?
We support several charitable projects and bursaries. These are selected by Grand Chapter, the Worthy Grand Matron and by the local chapters each year. The Grand Chapter of Saskatchewan has chosen the Ronald McDonald House, in Saskatoon, SK as their special project recipient for year.
Where does the money come from for these charities?
Money is raised for these charities through individual donations, bazaars, bake-sales, garage sales and many other creative projects. Chapters' participation in these projects is optional but very rewarding.

There is no such thing as a “self-made” person. . . . Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success.
